New stations, new cars: FLEX adds electric van to carsharing fleet

FLEX adds electric van VW ID BUZZ to carsharing fleet in Luxembourg

The new ID BUZZ Cargo is now available for FLEX customers. Two further car-sharing stations in Mamer and Strassen extend the growing offer.

From now on, it’s possible to move house yourself, do some major shopping or get a lift from the DIY shop using only electricity: With its new range of electric vans, FLEX is expanding its car-sharing fleet and offering the first car-sharing van to be powered entirely by batteries in Luxembourg.

“Until now, we have only offered FLEX vans with diesel engines. Where the infrastructure is available and the conditions of use are promising, we are now happy to expand our range. Practical and agile, electric vans help municipalities to offer sustainable, local mobility services to their citizens. They are therefore perfectly suited to our car-sharing offer,” explains Pit Reiter, General Manager of CFL Mobility, the FLEX operator.

Two new stations have been added to the extensive FLEX network.

It’s not just the van that’s new, but also the station: FLEX can now be used centrally in Capellen, on Place de Kiem, at the crossroads of futuristic mobility. An Audi A1 and an ID BUZZ Cargo Van are available to all subscribers.

The municipality of Strassen is rounding off the range with another car-sharing site on the Rue du Kiem, next to the Stugalux company. A compact Audi A3 is ready for the next trip. The ID BUZZ Cargo Van will complement the existing station opposite the Strassen commune.
